Daniel convinced Arioch, the king’s executioner not to: “… destroy the wise men of Babylon; take me before the king, and I will tell the king the interpretation.” Daniel 2:24
The King’s Dream revealed – Daniel 2:29,31-33
“As for you, O king, thoughts came to your mind while on your bed, about what would come to pass after this, and He who reveals secrets has made known to you what will be…You, O king, were watching; and behold, a great image! This great image, whose splendor was excellent, stood before you; and its form was awesome. This image’s head was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay.” Daniel 2:29,31-33

Through Daniel, God decrees that only four additional empires will rule the whole world before Jesus returns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
The King’s Dream interpreted – Daniel 2:36-43,45
The dream is about the coming kingdoms of this world.
The Kingdom of Gold: Babylon – Daniel 2:36-38
The Kingdom of Silver: Medo-Persia – Daniel 2:39 a
The Kingdom of Bronze: Greece – Daniel 2:39 b
The Kingdom of Iron: Rome – Daniel 2:40
History enables us to trace the accuracy of Daniel’s prophecies through the third kingdom. The Fourth Kingdom is yet to come.
The Kingdom of Part Iron, Part Clay: The Revived Roman Empire – Daniel 2:41-43
“Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.” Daniel 2:41-43
“After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.” Daniel 7:7
“The ten horns are ten kings Who shall arise from this kingdom.” Daniel 7:24
According to scripture “ten kings & kingdoms, will be in power just before Jesus comes to set up His kingdom.
o 1948 - The Benelux Conference in Brussels, Belgium, would lay the foundation for what would become known as the European Economic Community. The meeting was attended by three tiny nations: Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium.
o 1957 – The Treaty of Rome was signed. Italy, France and Germany joined the coalition of three officially creating the European Economic Community—the Common Market.
o 1973 – England, Ireland and Denmark join.
o 1981 – Greece joined, marking it a ten-nation confederation.
o 1986 – Spain and Portugal were added.
o 1992 – The economic borders between the nations of the European Community were removed, and a common passport was issued. Study within nations was also permitted without any restrictions.
o 1995 – Austria, Finland and Sweden.
o 2002 –The Euro was introduced.
o 2004 – Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia become members, bringing the total to 25 nations.
o 2007 – Romania and Bulgaria were admitted, bringing the total number of nations to 27.
While the EU has great economic and political clout, its diversity in culture and language is dramatic and pose significant challenge.
In this overview of Daniels Prophecy three things emerge that should increase our vigilance:
The Consolidation of World Power – Daniel 7:23-24
“The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be different from all other kingdoms, And shall devour the whole earth, Trample it and break it in pieces. The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom…” Daniel 7:23-24 a
The consolidation of power in the European Union is signaling the beginning of this new world order.
The Coming of One World Leader – Daniel 7:24-25
“…And another shall rise after them; He shall be different from the first ones, And shall subdue three kings. He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time.” Daniel 7:24-25 –
A leader will rise from among the ten-leader confederacy and will subdue all things and take control of the entire world: We know him as the Antichrist.
“We do not want another committee. We have too many already. What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold the allegiance of all people, and to lift us out of the economic morass into which we are sinking. Send us such a man and, be he god or devil, we will receive him.” Paul-Henri Spaak, Secretary General of the United Nations from 1957-1961
The Conditions for the Treaty with Israel – Daniel 9:27
“Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering…” Daniel 9:27
Israel will sign a treaty with this world leader. In the middle of the seven years, this treaty will be broken, and the countdown to Armageddon will begin.
“…knowing the time, that now, it is high time to awake out of sleep, for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.” Romans 13:11
